Meet the Team

Nick qualified as an actuary in 1989. He established Brunel Trustees in 1989 and as well as advising on SSASs, designs and develops software for the ongoing operation of SIPPs and SSASs.

Nick enjoys cycling to keep fit and to see the world. 

James joined Brunel Trustees in February 2000.  He deals with all aspects of pension administration from day to day administration, property purchases, dealing with HMRC VAT registrations and submissions.  James also deals with pension benefits, from arranging payment of tax free lump sums and drawdown to the payroll side of things, ensuring that our clients receive their income payments on a monthly or ad hoc basis.

In James’ spare time, when he is not indulging in his passion for cars he enjoys socialising with friends. During the summer he can be found attending Castle Coombe Race Days and harbours a keen ambition to one day participate himself! 

Lee has been with Brunel for 22 years and provides technical support to the SSAS team. Lee has many years experience advising on the merits of SSASs and attends trustee meetings with our clients.  

Away from the office, Lee is married with adult 2 children, an enthusiastic supporter of the National Trust and enjoys travelling, country walks, theatre, cinema and reading. 

Adrian has worked with the company for over 20 years. During this time, he has administered his own portfolio of schemes and also worked extensively with Nick developing SSAS administration software and supporting other SSAS administration firms in their use of it. This has given him significant insights across the whole industry and a broad and wide range of SSAS knowledge.

Outside of work, Adrian has a keen interest in golf, cricket and football, but he also has 2 young children, so never mind.

Anna joined the company in 1998 after completing a maths degree at Exeter University and has also completed the Diploma in Financial Planning.  

Anna deals with all aspects of SSAS administration focusing mainly on the calculation of retirement benefits and HMRC regulations.

Anna enjoys watching all sorts of motor racing, football and rugby whilst exploring new                                                      places and she can also be found cheering on the Bristol Pitbulls Ice Hockey Team.

Mike joined Brunel in August 2010 from a large Insurance Company having been in Life and Pensions since leaving school (not disclosing just how many years ago). Mike looks after the day to day administration of Pension Schemes.

Mike enjoys golf although the handicap doesn’t bear this out, gardening (would be landscape gardener), National Trust and generally being out in the fresh air

Mike joined Brunel Trustees in December 2021 and previously worked for a global insurance company for over 10 years.

Mike enjoys going to the cinema, playing badminton, and is trying to teach himself how to play the piano.
